call through 6700 using laptop
 

Is it possible to to use the laptop mic and speaker to make a call through the 6700?
I was sitting in front of my computer working and thought it would be neat to have a caller ID for my phone on the computer. Connection could be via bluetooth or wifi or even usb. So the phone could actually be in another room. I guess it would be like reverse tethering, right?

I connect to my laptop via bluetooth all of the time. It works well with either the builtin mic and speakers or with a connect gaming headset.

How did you set it up?

There is a bluetooth object called "Audio Gateway" . If you are using XP right click on the bluetooth system tray icon and select "Quick Connect>Audio Gateway>Find Devices... Make sure your 6700 is set to be visible.
