Making Voice Command OEM work...

So I just burned a new unified 3.5 ROM (thanks guys, really) - I added Colonels VoiceCommand OEM (and removed Cyberon) I tried copying my voicecmd.exe to the windows folder, however voice command hangs when its launched. I also tried adding that file to the OEM folder before burning, but had the same problem. Is it possible I have a different version of voice command than that contained in this OEM? Thanks so much in advance!

Best,
MJB

you need the voicecmd.exe from Voice Command 1.6

Should the exe be copied into the windows folder or should it be in the OEM folder before the Create OS.exe is run?

OEM folder

I believe you can do either, probably easier to add it to the OEM before burning though. I had some limited luck using J_Babey's VoiceCommand OEM -- It worked this time, however my button 5 is all screwy now. What is the best voicecommand OEM out there? What are you using and how'd you set it up?? Thanks

That's what I thought. Seems like the user is placing the exe file in the windows directory...

Response to mbial:

I liked luv2chill's OEM a lot, but I decided after some usage that I just couldn't understand the british voice well enough to use it. If he released a US version I'd be all over it (hint hint), but for now I just put VC1.6 in my ExtROM and I run it that way along with the button 5 fix CAB. No different than I used to run it, and I'm not hurting for storage space at the moment.

Try luv2chill's OEM; you might like the voice. Search here for a thread on slowing the voice down; there's a reg entry with "TTSRate" or something like that that defaults to 5 but you can slow it down by setting it to 4.
