"Problem with bluetooth hardware"

I seem to be having some problems with my bluetooth connectivity with my custom kitchen (based on Apache WM5 AKU 3.5 Unified ROM Kitchen 1.0.0). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes when I press the button to turn it on, it thinks for a few seconds, then just remains greyed out. If I try to search for a new Bluetooth device I get the "Problem with bluetooth hardware" error.

I have installed the following:

From the FTP:
abcPower
dictEditor
PIM Backup
CorePlayer-1.04-build716
Flash Player 7 OEM1.0.0
LiveSearch
PHMRegedit
PPC6700 Hacks
Screen Capture 1.1 OEM1.0.0
Spb Pocket Plus 3.2.0 QVGA
Spb Weather 1.7.0 QVGA
SpbDiary-QVGA-2.2.1.DST
Total Commander
WM5Storage
zzPocketXPDF

I have also installed self made OEM's of:
Navizon
Igidance

Anyone else have the same or similar problems with any of this software?

This has been happening to me as well. Try disabling the Spb Weather Today plug-in, then try starting BT. Apparently it has something to do with memory issues in the new ROM build.

<edit>
After BT starts, you can enable the plug-in again.

That at least gives me a starting point, thanks!

Well, I disabled my weather plug in and still have the same sporadic issue, though i think it may be less frequent. May be my imagination also. Anyone else having problems with the bluetooth not wanting to start up sporadically?

Bluetooth issues

I had the same issue with BT. I pulled a bunch of OEM's out of my build directory and rebuilt the ROM. Seems to be working now. I'm guessing this is an issue with the OEMs because I ran the base build of the Kitchen ROM with no mods for days with no issues.

I've been having intermitent issues with BT on the 3.3 ROM i've been using every once and a while (about every other day) it will forget there is a BT headset, and will have to soft reset to correct it

Any idea which OEM's you pulled? Specifically any of those I have listed above? Just trying to avoid deleting them one by one until I find the culprit. Thanks.

The problem seems to be related with leaving the phone off for an extended period of time while having one of the SPB today plug-ins on the today screen.

When I went to bed last night I had SPB diary, weather, and pocket plus n the today screen in a single plug in, and the bluetooth was working fine. When I woke up this morning I couldn't get the bluetooth to turn on at all, no matter what I did. As soon as I took pocketplus off the today screen the bluetooth started right up. I then put pocketplus back on the today screen and the bluetooth still works.

Oems

I actually changed out all of the OEMs I was using. I removed all of the SPB oems and I am only using these OEMs:
(luv2chll)
VC 1.6
Wififofum
Windows Live
(Kirvin)
PaulyADialerGrayBox

LOL, ok so now I don't know what is going on. It has stopped working for me a couple times today (ie I turn my phone on, hit the bluetooth button, it thinks, then just remains greyed out). To get it to work, all I have to do is go to the Today screen settings menu, click on the "items" tab, then click OK. I don't have to remove anything, just go to that screen then hit ok. Then the bluetooth comes back up every time until it randomly stops again, at which time the same procedure gets it working again.
