WM5 Upgrade
 

I have a ppc6700 with the Sprint basic WM5. I have a couple of programs that seem to work with WM5 but not with WM6. Is there an upraded version of WM5 available (doesn't have to be OEM) that I can upgrade to?

There is but is deeply hidden. What programs do not work on WM6? Use WM6.1

there are two print program. jetc
et which partially works but does not recognize the latest office formats and ActivePrint 5.

I agree that it isnt the version of WM you need to worry about but rather finding a compatable app

BTW weedahoe can you send me the link for Kirvin? My buddie is finally gonna give me a 6800 se=ince he filed a claim for his today. Now that I will have another spare Apche I wanna use that again. Thanks.

So how would I go about flashing a rom with WM 6 or 6.1 but keeping the Office programs at the lower level?

What office programs are you referring to?

Primarily Word and Excel. The previous versions work with the print programs but the latest do not.

The office apps in WM6 are the same as in WM5 unless you upgraded to Office 2k7
