Does anyone know what a .VTM file is?
I have been busy reinstalling old (and newer versions) of my prior software post upgrading my ROM to Kirvin's clean and simple. So I have been installing several at a time and then doing a backup.
I just noticed dramatic drop in the storage space in main memory. Unless a programruns at startup on on the today screen I install it to my storage card - and so far no DSODs (knock on wood). I found about 4 MB's of .vtm files in my documents in main memory. I hate it when programs dump sh*t there. The files were: demo_hi.vtm demo_medium.vtm demo_low.vtm The file types are unregistered. I tried several recently installed rpograms to see if they would run ("demo") them with no luck. I searched here, XDA Developers and pdaphonehome on the file name and type with no hits and also on the web using DogPile. Needless to say I have moved them to a temporary holding folder on my storage card. But, anyone know what these are? Are they for Octro? |
Easy-to-use mapping and navigation GPS application. Can be used together with the existing large collection of VITO maps, as well as with custom made vector or raster maps, single- or multi-layer. Creates and manages tracks and pushpins that can be exported into other GIS programs. VITO maps .vtm format is designed specially for the Pocket PC and provides fast handling of large maps.

Yes, they are Vito maps. I had forgotten. I was just re-installing programs one after another and for some I did not/had not run them. Clicking on a .vtm file did not bring up the program and opening files within a program does not necessarily tell you the file extension. They open fine when located on the card.
thanks for the help. |
