I have never been able to find a Ubuntu specific guide, let alone try hard to get it working but I seen a tutorial for Fedora. If you'd like it's located at http://andrewtv.org/fedora-ppc6700/

here is the guide straight from the ubuntu forums. I havent tried it with the new AKU but it worked flawlessly using the old wmodem program
