Stuck in v2.02 BL, USB on PC not recognizing...
 

Ok so im downgrading my friends wm6 rom on his apache to the stock rom, and of course it crashed about 20 seconds into the downgrade on the BL screen... so i try hard rest, soft reset, MTTY, Exit Bootloader Tool, ect and for some reason my vista computer won't recognize his phone at all, but when I plug in my mogul it recognizes it right away... I put the "nk" file on a formatted memory card and reset his phone to try flashing via SD card, and still nothing... what step did i miss..?? in MTTY also, USB is not an option to be checked..??

What are you meaning by "Recognizing"? If you're talking about Mobile Device center and syncing then no, it will not. Because the device is in bootlader. Hard reset 3-4 times then try again.

hmmmm, so for some odd reason i was able to download a rom someone made who had my problem, an it put WM6 on there fine... but he still want's to return the phone to sprint so I guess i'm going to try this again flashing back to WM5 I just hope I dont have this problem again... self bootload, run RUU, and I should be fine right..?? "im a diamond & mogul guy so apaches are a tad diff"... thanks...

Yep. That's what I do. Why is he going to return the phone to Sprint btw?

his phone keeps turning off, and he has to click ok to turn it back on, and it will be like that for hours without him realizing its off, and often the phone powers off itself...

He outa just call for a replacment and not send this old one back. Keep it for testing or playing around with. They VERY seldom charge you. C'mon this phone is four years old. They don't need another broken one. If he does get a bill he can send it back and they'll credit his account. But if he does want to send it back just send it like is, they don't care much about WM6 on it. They will reflash it. Plus most of the people there are too dumb to know it's not WM5.

Well that does sound like a good idea, so ill let him know and see what he want's to do... I tried APA_SPCS_20600_300_11200_WWE_Ship.exe, and thats the one that kept crashing on me... Is there a different one that would probably work, or is this phone just not flashable anymore?

Alright great thanks... He had to leave but he'll be back tomorrow for another shot at this.. He now really wants a mogul and was told he could get a mogul by upgrading his phone by the guy at sprint today, so he also wants his phone back to stock rom incase he decides to upgrade.. thanks again for ur help, ill post back an update but just incase that doesn't work, what would you consider trying..?? It seems as if the phones invisible once its put into BL, but for some reason this one custom WM6 rom upfreezes it and loads up but no other roms would work...??
