Force roaming given a threshold?

So, you can go into Phone Settings and force your phone into Roaming mode. But, is there a way to make the PPC6700 go into Roaming when there's less than 1 bar? Currently, roaming doesn't kick in until there's absolutely no signal.

From phone screen:

1. Menu
2. Options
3. Services (tab)
4. Roaming
5. select what you want (automoatic, sprint only, or roaming).

I believe OP is asking if there is a way to customize the "automatic" setting, so that Roaming will kick in sooner than the current zero bars of Sprint service.
