Do I think the iPhone looks hot? Yes. Do I think it has endless posibilities? NO. Which is why I WILL stay with my Pocket PC as well!

Re: VZW 6700 v/s iPhone
the iPhone sucks. Apple has far to much control over it and won't admit to software or hardware problems when they arise. They do this for their entire product line and only after weeks of ongoing issues, will they even acknowledge a problem. You'd be better off to stick with WM or Android as they aren't really specific about application development and will at least acknowledge problems when they come up.

Re: VZW 6700 v/s iPhone
Yes I agree they give more room but even we can add whatever we want with SDHC cards. You wouldnt understand unless you have had one and I had one so believe me there is as nice of software out there and even when jail broken, it is handicapped on what it can do. Dont get me wrong it as come a long way and it was a damn nice device when it first came out. But understand a lot of companies are using it as a stepping stone for thier new devices they are developing. So by the time VZW (or any CDMA) comes with a iPhone model (assuming it will a different model by the time they get it) other carriers will have something to fiercely compete. Look at HTC and thier Diamond and Pro as well as the High Def Touch model. They are only going to get better.

Re: VZW 6700 v/s iPhone
If I could get it for ~$150 with the "new every two" discount, I might do it. Versus the ~$250 they want for the 6800. Hey, it's only a phone...

Re: VZW 6700 v/s iPhone
I agree about the iPhone bringing great change to the WM phone market.
I hate the way that Apple has the phone locked and there great 'open' policy on iPhone-App-Store.....developer takes great time and care in creating an app only to have Apple say Nah, don't think we will list it in our app-store..... Just proves that Apple is and will forever will be a locked system....even if you jailbreak the device. My cousin had one for 3 days. Only took me 10 minutes to show him almost every app on the iPhone on my 6700 (yes, the motion sensor stuff was pretty cool but do I really need it?). And was really easy to swede others away from iPhone.....sealed battery (need I say more). On an airplane, what happens if you forget to charge before you leave...forget about being able to change battery or for that fact carrying a spare. |
Re: VZW 6700 v/s iPhone
It does other cool features. But yet leaves out stuff I find on my old 6 year old phone...
