I'm Back
Its been a long trip first the 700wx nice device I really wanted to love it and I did for a while than the AKU's started coming out. All the things that were better about the 700wx were gone and the 6700, still at my side was looking pretty good. So I changed back to the 6700 for a while than Sprint offered to give me the Q for the 700wx so I took it. After a long road of problems getting things straight with Sprint customer service (don't get me started) I had this sweet small different device. The Q is a great phone but I just need more, look to my side and there is my old friend. I was walking around talking on my Q but using my 6700 for everything else, (carrying 2 phones is stupid) I NEED OFFICE TOOLS :banghead:, I must cut and paste, there is on alternative. I have searched (there will be arguments here) there is no way to make a smartphone do what a PPC will do there will always be something missing (weather panel) that I need. So after 8 months and $1200 worth of phones (I didn't pay that much) I am back to using my 6700 all the time and I will never change (6800)

Have fun with the ROMS Big D. I was tempted to go back to the 6700 from my 700wx for that one reason, but I will wait for the 6800. :)

Welcome home Big D. :P Nice to see u back. Wish I could say I'm a phone whore but theres not enough cdma ppc phones for me to be one. :) Treos just not my style. Hopefully the 6800 is just as easily hacked as the 6700 was cuz its time for a change for me. :D

Sounds like so many others I have talked to at work. I myself follow almost the same paths as you, and like you, need the features the 6700 offers. My Q is still near, yet try to find it in the bottom of my wifes purse... yikes.

It's also quite a bit thinner. I don't know the actual specs but the GSM TyTn is about .2 inches thinner than the 6700, and it's been said that the 6800/Titan is even thinner than that.
So those of us looking for a phone not so brick-like might find the 6800 a little easier to pocket. And no external antenna! |
