okay... what do you ACTUALLY use?? poll of apps/must haves
There are so many options out there and they all look pretty good. What do you use right now on your phone? I tried to make it so you could pick more than one choice. Not sure if that worked, but I hope so, as most are used in combos.
This place is like the PPC Buffet LOL... so many choices and options. I know I was on overload reading all the ROM choices, NM the ExtROM's and the programs and themes. I guess the ones I'm focusing on now are like PIM's? or today interfaces? don't know how to describe the category. I haven't gotten to special programs and stuff yet. |
Well, I wasn't able to choose multiple items, but I use iLauncher and WA2.
|
If you're looking for Today screen oriented PIMs, you've missed the other heavy (Pocket Breeze's primary competitor), Spb Diary. Spb Pocket Plus doesn't really do PIM-oriented stuff.
|
I run SPB Shell, Diary and Pocketplus
|
oooooooooooo I had no idea Diary was used also along with Pocket Plus. I thought for some reason that Pocket Plus was the interface or whatever.
Dang it.. i don't know how to make it let you choose multiple things. :( I love the look of shell, but man... I just recently saw some UNREAL looking screens using iLauncher, PBreeze and that rl something program... But I couldn't find where to get it. I know I initially saw it on Solsie.com the links let out to two other forums though. I got lost. LOL. I have Vista Berry on mine now with Pocket Breeze and trying to set up iLauncher. I was using only SPB shell and pocket breeze, but I think this might have won me over. I like the Vista look with simple icons. I really wanted to find the clear glass icon set up I read about somewhere. |
Out of the list, I use PBreeze, ILauncher, Wisbar Advance and RLToday. Really like all 4.
|
I use P+, Diary and Mobile Shell. You can get more than one SPB app in a bundle or at a discount when you purchase more than one.
|
Uh... none?
Cheapo guy here - freeware only. |

Goodlink
Well for some of us (seems like very few), corporate Goodlink is a must have. Us lucky ones are stuck on Wideawake's 2.2 until someone gets Goodlink to work on the 3.x ROMs.

Forgot to mention I use a couple of freeware timers...they come in real handy at times. Would be nice if one was bundled with a Custom ROM but there so small to install that it really doesn't make a difference. |
I'm pretty much an Spb whore, use all of their programs, even though they are a little heavy on memory usage, once I get everything set up it works fine. Right now I have a plain XV6700 and hope to do my first custom rom with the new kitchen that is pretty much a full Spb rom. I have a lot of learning to do to get that going though.
|
I would love to do my own ROM but hell I cannot even figure out simple problems with my phone right now. I did look at the instructions for making your own extrom and yikes!
|
One of the reasons I like SBP is they do a great deal of beta testing before release. Although not perfect they have released more stable products than a number of other companies I have tried.
|
SPB Diary.
looks good, works well. If I add up the purchases I've made for software for this phone I may find it adds up to more than I paid for the phone! Boy do they have me by the short hairs. |
