I too have tried this over and over but keep getting the administration error that was talked about before. I am able to get to Justin Timberlake calltones page but no where beyond that. I really want a call tone! I have been to the link specified with my ID # at the end.

I am guessing the numbers I am seeing is the correct one. I have been trying this for so long, I am not sure where they came from. All I want is the MNF theme calltone! Anyone help or having similar experiences or better yet solutions?

It worked with the 6700 clown. I just can't get it to work with the 6800. The only thing I can use is the previous bookmark i had and it will work fine.

Alright so.

First off, one of the reasons this isn't working on WM6 because the cab posted isn't changing the registry. See the following: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=20

Put those registry entries in and it *SHOULD* work.

Its not working for me, however, and my phone just died so I guess that means I'm done experimenting for the night. I'll do it again tomorrow night but I thought I'd post this for everyone.

okay I go to the select network and I don't have a drop down screen that says calltones. I'm on a mogul 6800 can someone help me find or put in this calltone thing so I can some calltones. thanks in advance

I thought I was going to have this question answered. I waited for a few days and still no response. If anybody know how to make this thing work on the mogul please help me. thanks in advance.

ok what have you done so far ? I have a mogul and i got it to work on mines i download the cab and went to the proxy and check both of the boxes and add the ip address and get rid of sock on there i hit ok and went to internet explorer and type in vision.sprintpcs.com i scroll down to search type in call tone and it pop up with all the call tones i brought one waited 3 minutes and it was on there

I got this to work for me finally. I followed the directions on the first page, used the first link to Sprint and did a search for Call tones. A list came up, I saved the bookmark, bought a calltone of my choice and 15 min later... Works! I am running a fresh install of new WM6 Rom.

this is a bit wierd, this worked for me for about a week, then it started poping up

and for some reason I have been having trouble with my signal ever since this, even when I switched back to my fusic... Had to do an insurance claim on my touch, thinking there was a problem with it... Is there any way that my account may have been messed up because of this hack?

I also get the "Call Tones is temporarily unavailable. Try again later." error before the "Method not allowed An error has occured." error...

This is really wierd, my area gets phenominal service, and I am the only one in my family that is getting poor service, the account is in good standing, I have tried soft and hard resets, power cycling, removing the battery, typing in the msl/msid/mdn several times on each phone, I talked to sprint several times, and they can't help me... I verified that the esn was correct through sprint for the fusic, verified msid/mdn as well... I have a bad feeling that this hack may have done something wierd to my account. I tried the other one first (enter proxy server) can't remember the ip... any help would be greatly appreciated, did anything similar happen to anyone else?

I just did this again as my 90 day call tone ran out. I have the proxy saved as a seperate connection called calltone. I use it to connect whenever i want to visit the vision homepage. Search for calltones and they come up. I preview on my home computer though. Anyway... just worked again for me!

Ok, so then i tried this:
now after doing this i got further, but kept getting "Your session has expired" and "Authorization Denied. Due to your account type, you cannot be authorized to use this service."

so here's what i did. followed the directions in the first post, then after i navigated to the http://vision.sprintpcs.com/output/e...Paul_Wall.html address, clicked "Calltones" and the "Featured" list came up, from here i looked in the address bar, and i noticed there was a Unique ID so i sent it to my email (just a quick sms) - from there i opened Firefox and went to http://calltones.sprintpcs.com:8080/...call_tones&id= and added my Unique ID to the end...

So now i was able to successfully purchase a calltone (from the computer)

one thing i can tell u might help go 2 modems, new, and put the number as #777(same as ya sprint internet connection) and it WILL work!!! Also it will ask u for ur user name, I used the same info that I log into sprint.com with!!
