Data question..
 

Hello im new in the world of 6700. I have read a lot in this forum...is icredible.. im running the kirvin AKU3.5 Rom in my xv6700 and it wrks really well. But im confused about the data transmission. I have Unlimited acess to !x and EDVO (im from Puerto Rico).. in my house i have only acess to 1X data..but i have read that for the sprint phone one hack (upgrade PRI is available) in order to have ring-thru during data sessions.. This is my question can i have Ring-Thru in my xv6700 (verizon) using 1X or EDVO ? I have tried and i cant have Ring-Trhu (always goes to vaice mail) using 1X or EDVO....I have installed the AKU2.2 official...and the Kirvin 3.5 in the CE Rom...My PRI version is 1.10...so what i need to do to have ring-thru ? Thanks..

you need to install not the 2.2 here, but the latest SPRINT rom, from sprint. That will update the radio to allow EVDO ring-thru.

There is no way to get 1x ring through - it's not possible at all.

Ok Thanks..but the Sprint Rom will not cause problem in the Verizon Network (and Phone)? So where i can find the latest Radio Rom ( I think is 1.18)? Thanks..

Well, you will need the latest official Verizon rom. This should be available on www.utstarcom.com. Unfortunately, I can not get to it right now. Hopefully someone will have an active link and can post it.

VZW (and everyone else EXCEPT Sprint) never had the EVDO issue so no fix is required. This problem was only on Sprint. I don't know what might be causing EVDO ring through not to work on Verizon.

Ring through doesn't work for 1xRTT on any phone on any carrier. Its just how it works. The best you can do is when you get the voice mail notification, just call the person back.
