Transfering everyting to new SD card
 

I'm going form a 1 GB to a 2 GB SD card, is there anything special that I have to other than a 'Select All' and 'Copy' to the new card. I have quite a few programs and data stores on the current card.

You should be good. Small chance something might get corrupt but a slim one.

I usually create a temp folder on my desktop and copy everything from the card to that and the new card. I just like having a backup.

OK - I transfered everything over but it's not working. My device locks up with the new 2GB SD card. I've tried softresets and swapping the cards while the battery is removed - it still locks up. I have WeatherPanel installed and on my Today Screen, so I thought that was the problem - I removed it form the Today Screen (as well as everything else) and still locking up.

Any suggestions?

I think the card fried - I tried it in a few other devices (GPS, CardReader) and nothing. I tried reformatting it and it get to 99%, then fails... Looks like I'll be sending it back to Kingston.:disgust:

My buttie on Sprint got a Samsung ACE and bought a four gig, but his phone can only take a two so I traded him a two for a four. I just cut and paste. Life is good :)
