Apache doesn't ring....
I've searched te forums, can anyone tell me why my Apache won't ring now that I have Flashed Helmi's kitchen for 6.1? The install went fine and everything else works great. I just can't get my phone to ring. All the other sounds and notifications work flawlessly, even WMP.
Help! |
Re: Apache doesn't ring....
in phone settings make sure you have ringer type set to Ring. If the phones not getting incoming phone calls then you need to dial **778 and get you're unique code then go to modem settings>cycle slot index and decrease by one value. Hope this helps.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
phone has service and calls are coming in if you are looking at the phone. You just can't answer and te phone doesn't ring. I have gone in and set the sound properly. When I do a test call, you can see the pone go to call status, but there is not ring and you can't answer with the answer button(green answer button).

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Very strage. Try a hard reset.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Did it, soft reset. removed battery. re-installed the kitchen from scratch again. Still same problem.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
I can make outgoing calls perfectly fine as well.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
I don't understand what's happening so let's hope someone can figure it out :)

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
I suggest since you have tried to hard reset and reflash with the Kitchen that you try different ingredients in the Kitchen and NOT the same ones you are using to see if what clears it. It may be a software or setting in the Kitchen you are choosing that is causing it.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
I've gone back in a have reflashed again. Same problem. When a call is coming in, the left soft key prompts the "Call Status" message instead of "answer". The hard key for answering does nothing but take you to the dialer screen. No option to answer phone and it still doesn't ring. I looked for the original ROM to see if it is a ROM issue or phone issue but can't find any working links to the original ROM and instructions on how to return it to the origianal form.
PLEASE HELP! |
Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Are you selecting a dialer theme in the kitchen? If so, try to flash without one.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Will try and let you know. Right now I am at my wits end. I have flashed several phones now and have never had a problem like this once I learned what I was doing.
Thanks. |
Re: Apache doesn't ring....
=D>So I flashed back to the original rom to make sure it wasn't the phone. that worked great. So now I am flashing without a dialer skin to see if that alleviates te problem.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Thanks imnuts for the suggestion. Worked like a charm!
You rock! |
Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Did you use OEMizer? I found that if I set any of the Sounds & Notifications that vibrate wouldn't work. When I reflashed without Sounds & Notifications and manually set them and it vibrate worked. Might be something similar.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Did anyone read Post #8. Usually when you are flashing and something doesnt work, it is because something is incomplatable and you need to change your ingredients in what you are cooking.

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
I think I'm having the same problem after adding the Diamond dialer....

Re: Apache doesn't ring....

Re: Apache doesn't ring....
Verified that it was indeed the Diamond dialer causing the issue. I used the advanced config tool in the sms lag thread to disable dialer skins and everything works perfectly. It sucks not to have a skin, but I really don't feel like re-flashing my phone.
