Help with Text Messaging
 

Just let me start by saying everyone here is amazingly dedicated and patient. The services you provide for the novice are incredible and you make it fun not frustrating for this older ex geek to customize his own phone. =D> With that said, I have a problem viewing my text messages using a registered version of the spb suite. It shows up on my Today screen as 1 unread but the app won't launch a viewer. I am using a Helmi 6.1 ROM on a Verizon XV6700.

Have you tried to uninstall it and reinstall it?

I don't know if this would be of any help to you or not....It is another thread about problems with MMS and in this thread is a link to a fix for Verizon MMS problems from PDA PhoneJunkie.

Weedahoe - the spb was installed as part of the Helmi 6.1 kitchen. I used a serial from my old Treo to remove the trial expiration notification for that kitchen. The suite seems totally functional (registered copy) but no text messaging. Uninstalling would mean recooking and I was trying to avoid that.

Very strange - in the middle of me playing around with spb suite, my phone reset and rebooted to the outlook page which I couldn't even find earlier and voila I was able to set up e-mail and my text messaging. The two I sent as tests still wouldn't appear but all new ones do and that's all I care about. Thanks for your help! Now what am gonna do - everything seems to work!!!!!
