Apache won't download MMS?

my new (to me) 6700 won't download MMS...

when I go into the MMS notification, the "download" softkey is greyed out...

I used to send/receive mms on my VX8600 just fine?

I'm on VZW btw

Its funny how you mention crippling. All carriers have limiting or crippling software and whats so funny is because VZW released thier 6.1 a lot of people are jumping on it w/o thinking about it and finding out it is screwing them up BIG time.

i have the same problem by the way i called them and they told me that without the data plan i wont be able to use MMS. Which is odd because i didnt have a data plan on my LG Chocolate before and i was able to get MMS's. I think they are full of crap maybe. It kind of leaves me speechless because i am paying for unlimited text and mms messages but i cant use mms messages?????

Okay stop right there. This is the WORST subject to ask them about. What happns is the phone connects to the same data/internet line to send/recieve pix messages. You won't get charged for them though. If you have data service blocked then it won't work. Here's what I do, I remove the data network connection in Settings>Connections>Connections>Verizon Wireless then remake one in my work network. I edit the string in the registry to enableserveredit then change server to use my work network so only mms can use internet line. I made a thread explaing it all here. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=308163
