changing phone number with a new rom
 

i moved recently and am in the process of changing my phone number
unfortunately, the directions i get from sprint ##my MSL# doesnt do anything meaning i dont get a screen where i can edit things. it is as if my phone is waiting for me to hit the green button to make a call (which doesnt work as well). is there something about the newest roms that changes how u get to the screens to alter your phone number?

You can not change your phone number with a new ROM. Sprint has to change the number on your line.

I guess my question wasn't clear
sprint has changed my line
I need to program the phone to accept it
I just finished doing it with my wife's phone but for some reason the ##msl# directions to get to the programming screen don't work
I assumed this is bc im using a rom different then sprint thinks I am using
I hope that makes more sense.

interesting though that although I can't use the phone part of my apache until I figure out how to make the changes, the internet still works fine

Keep in mind that some dialers keep you from using the ## codes.

Bingo. Hover the mouse over each dialer in BuildOS and it will tell you if it disables ## codes. And yes, you can change your number on new roms and you don't need sprint.

You should be able to access the EPST from the Windows folder
