Connection Question
I just did a hard reset and restore, and now when I hook up to ActiveSync and click to update my weather and news programs it connects to Sprint's data rather than doing it though the PC.
In the connection settings the top one is Sprint and the second is my work network. I think it's always been that way. How can I get it back to updating through the PC while it's hooked up? Thank you for any help! |
Re: Connection Question
I use Pocket Weather and mine will do the same unless I go through the settings on the weather app and configure it to update via wifi or AS.

Re: Connection Question
Well, I'm using WeatherPanel and Egress. They were doing fine before the hard reset, now, without changing anything they connect to data.
WPanel doesn't seem to have that option. |

Re: Connection Question
I'm on XP, should I just delete partnership and make a new one?
|
Re: Connection Question
I deleted partnership, but that didn't make a difference.

Re: Connection Question
If you hard reset then that means you had to reinstall the app. Partnerships between the device and AS has nothing to do with what connection the weather app uses to connect and pull data.

Re: Connection Question
Actually, I reinstalled from a Back up.
I actually don't care which weather, I own both. I'm just saying that the news program and the weather program connect to data rather than through activesync. Thanks |
Re: Connection Question
Like I said, I use Pocket Weather and these are screenshots of some of the settings on how mine updates and so I assume yours would be close.

Re: Connection Question
No, not using that weather at the moment. The problem isn't just the weather, it's also Egress newsreader, so I need to know how to get the connection through activesync back for all programs.
Right now I'm going into connections prior to hook up and making it my work network, then switching when I'm not hooked. Never had to do this before. |
Re: Connection Question
Ah, sry. I guess I was reading too much into it

Re: Connection Question
Found my problem! Turns out, and I love SBSH, that it was PhoneWeaver.
I uninstalled it, and put PhoneAlarm back on. Problem was resolved. Now without changing connections back and forth it works, so gonna stick with PhoneAlarm for a while. Yes, it does seem like I own 2 of every program ever made! |
