Give me a new keyboard come on
Alright so I was just looking through the forum and found someone who took hi-res pictures of their Sprint PPC6700. I noticed that the keyboard is different, it illuminates the symbols also which I love. I have a XV6700, what is the chances of me being able to swap those keyboards or is there more to the lights??

nall, it has been discussed that the only reason those keys look so well lite up is because of the bad a$$ camera he used to snap those pics.

my dad replaced the lights inside his cingular ppc and it does look hella bright....but again, that means meticulous fragile work to solder the new ones in place.... which my dad can do with eyes close after 30 years experience with electronics and all kinds of boards.....its insane, he can solder a pin on a processor
so stick with what ya got :) is not that bad |
:laughing6: I wish I could do such tedious work, I couldn't solder to wires together little less a pin on a processor. that being said practice makes perfect. :D

It is technically possible to change the LEDs as well as the keyboard, but be warned on the changing of the LEDs some LEDs draw more power than others which will cause the battery to not last as long

i do love the blue, but i wouldnt have mind white lights to see things better.

My first PPC 6700 had white and it made it hard to see the letters when I was in bright areas. I like the blue better.
