There are SO MANY threads on this that all you need to do is take the time out to search the forum and read a bit. Im not trying to be mean but it doesnt make much sense for someone to re-type everything if the info is already there.

BTW, you REALLY REALLY need to read up on 6.1 and see all the many issues people have with it and then decide if you want to follow those ppl into migraine hell. Plus you are not going to get anything beneficial from WM6 that you cannot already do or get in WM5. WM6 does have some differences and advantages but those will do you no good on a 6700.

So do yourself a huge favor and read and educate yourself first before wanting to jump off that pirate plank.

OMG, F*CKING READ! It's not like we MAGICALLY learned how to flash a phone. Read the stickies. Read them well. Or you may run into a ton of hell later trying to flash it....

Jabu, be nice, the OP is new and has a lot to learn about many things. It takes time to learn and guidance is welcome from new people. Even though I may know a good bit (not everything) about the 67, I am moving on to the 68.

I wont get into this too far but I also am on many many other boards with the latest being credit forums. There is so much to learn with all the state laws and what credit agencies can/cannot do. So just remember we all started as a noob at some time or another.

Besides, hes in the wrong forum (techincally) anyway and needs to be at the link below

I'm just in an extra hostile mood today.

So start here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=27071

Download BuildOS and the build19213 files.

Hold the pwr button, record button, and hit reset to put the phone in bootloader mode. Write down what version your bootloader is, then hit reset.

Fire up BuildOS and select the LennySH build 19213.
Select your bootloader version.
Select your carier.
Hit the play button to build/flash the ROM.

If it all works, then go through BuildOS and start adding some options/programs you want. If you get a white screen after a flash, you put too much sh*t in the ROM. Remove some stuff and try again.

Remember, you won't brick an Apache with software. God knows I tried.

I made a video on flashing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLyFeQCKw-A I did use WM6 for that but it isn't much different when you get to cooking. I plan on doing for WM6.1 soon. I personally like WM6.1 because, Threaded SMS, Direct Push working over WiFi and because it will remeber the input for the keyboard with an app that won't work on WM5, after a soft reset. I myself will soon be moving up to the XV6800. All my 6700's are just gonna sit in my night stand.

Well I have one more left (sold 2) and when my 68 gets here I think I will go ahead and sell it off also. But in the meantime, look for more posts from the OP about issues he will have with WM6. ;-)
