For those of you using WM6.1

So there have been a lot of complaints about the stability of 6.1. I myself have complained about it. In fact, I hated it so much that weedahoe almost convinced me to go back to WM5. Yesterday I reflashed my phone to isolate whether a screen problem I was having was software or hardware. Out of curiousity I flashed it with LennySH's 6.1 ROM. Holy motherf*cking sh*t, it f*cking works. I swear, all the bugs are gone. It's still a fresh flash, so I'm going to give it time to see if it timebombs, but it looks very promising. I would highly recommend this ROM to anyone wanting to use 6.1. My 2 cents.

That's the build I use, it's perfect. I did do a couple modifications (like add Arcsoft MMS and HTC Performance), but it's pretty f'n great if you ask me. You can download it directly from herehttp://ppckitchen.org/downloads/

I didn't like Leeny's the first time I tried it, now I love it! Very stable

I keep having lockups with mine. I push the power button and it wont come out of its sleep. From what I have read the HTC Weather (HTC Home) was having somthing to with it, I turned weather off in the today screen however it still locks up from time to time. I might flash back and do some testing.

I see 3 different releases of Lenny's Rom, but the first one was quoted as being the fastest...is this what everyone is using ?

OK, I downloaded the first release, but how do you run the rom build/install program ?

If you have a card inserted, try taking it out first and then waking the device.

Which build is everybody using? I installed 20273 and it's good, although some people were complaining about not being able to sync, which i had no problems with. Seems stable on my phone. register at htcgeeks.com and navigate to the apache section... 3 basekits available there.

I decided not to go with 20273 because it is still being tested. Normally I'd be all about testing software, but I am so d*mn tired of an erratically working phone. I need something stable. Now if only I could get my other Apache working, then I could do some testing.

I tried this once before and nothing but I'll give it another try. Thanks, Weedahoe.

Re: For those of you using WM6.1

I ended up having chronic lockup problems, no matter what I did, with Lenny's 19213, so I went with the most recent Helmi basekit instead, and it's been stable, sturdy and reasonably quick for 10 days now. The battery lasts 2 to 3 days, also (of course, I try to make sure the wi-fi stays off unless I absolutely need to use it).

I look forward to what people's impressions are of 20273, but I definitely won't move on it either while it's still being tested.

Re: For those of you using WM6.1

nothing speeds testing like people trying it out. I have been using 20273 and it seems ok to me. different people load and use different things. And how hard is it to flash back in the event that something doesn't work? This does seem better than 19213 regarding the random lockups.
