Is the apache (performance wise) faster than the touch?
I somehow got suckered into "upgrading" my ppc 6700 to an instinct a week ago, and i'm ready to bring the instinct back. I could switch over to a Touch, or even wait for the touch diamond, but looking at the fact that you have gotten WM6.1 on the apache and I think the apache has a better processor than the touches leads me to think I should just switch back to it and upgrade it to 6.1.
What do you think? |
Re: Is the apache (performance wise) faster than the touch?
Yea, I'd say you got suckered. If you can deal with the size, weight and battery life of the 6700, you're definitely better off with that than an Instinct. I too have a 6700 and considered getting a Touch recently. But, I'm going to wait and see what happens with the Diamond and Pro. I recently started running 6.0 on it - had problems with 6.1 and its (almost) like a new machine, although its still the same size and weight. I want to get rid of this big thing, but I've had it for two years, I can wait a bit longer.
Good luck!!! |
Re: Is the apache (performance wise) faster than the touch?
Keep in mind the 6700 can be overclocked to 624 whereas the 68/6900 cannot.

Ok, instinct is returned, 6700 is WM6.1 now :)

Some folks were telling me how I should get the Instinct, but ever since I got the 6700, I can't go back to any type of phones but PDA like phones. I am just monitoring to see how the Diamond and Touch Pro gonna be.
