after i do a rom dump, my mini sd memory card becomes unformated or atleast to windows xp and wm5, i followed the rom dump steps at www.geekzone.co.nz/inane/1119

What do you mean "ROM dump"?

BTW, if you want folks to go to another site and look, please post a URL, or at the very least, a string of characters we can cut and paste - don't make us copy, delete every other char, paste ... won't do it! :)

seems cool though. I think what the idea was, is that when it detects the sd card, it will reflash your device with whatever state you had when you did the rom dump. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it could be really usefull to those of us who want to test custom rom after custom rom, but want a saved backup of any and all changes we've made on our "favorite".

The SD card option makes this portable, which kicks ass imho.

This method is for grabbing roms off of other phones. For instance, if someone is at a trade show and there is a new rom on a device, this is one of the methods used to dump the rom without being noticed.

Like if an Apache turned up that had WM6 on it, we'd want to use this method :D
