unfortunately what i did was just a temporary fix it only worked for about a day and it is still getting stuck in ev do mode do you think if i went back to to like the first aku and dialed the ##778# thing would work? i went to the aku 3.5 and the ##778# thing didnt work

why dont you try starting at the OEM ROM listed here from UTStar and start from the ground up.

i tried going back to the link that you gave me and nothing pops up when i press ##778## do i have to have service when i do this nothing ever happens when i press it
and i have definatley went back to wm5

Ok, so lemme get this straight, you flashed back to the OEM WM5 ROM from the link I posted above and all that worked fine. From there you go to your phone and you press ##778 and hit talk and you still get nothing? Is that what I am understanding?

yea i did and heres the thing that kind of annoys me the epst menu even works in wm6 so i kind of wasted my time but i dont care that much bcuz now my phone works and i know how to fix it
