AutoStep Warning

I know it was only mentioned a handful of times here, but I'm always wiling to try anything once. So I thought this AutoStep program looked pretty attractive due to its small program size and would still give you some slight overclocking. I had it installed a day or so, but just came across a big issue. Apparently if you set the wakeup speed to 520 it may lock up your phone. Now, I know most people will say that this is due to the differences in the device hardware from one 6700 to another, but I'm able to overclock to 624 with cpuXscaler all day without a single lock up.

Just wanted to give a heads up as it was kind of frustrating since I couldn't figure out what was going on when I got these lock ups because it was a couple of days after I installed AutoStep. I normally install and try out a couple different applications a day, so it took a bit to step back to that point.

I'm sorry you had problems w/ it - that is the same stting I use and I have had NO problems at all - but as usual, ymmv

Although it boosts speed. It does not disable your ubits auto-scaling. when you powerdown your CPU speed drops.
Some units dont have prob, some due on wakeup and I believe it may be this issue.

So if you have to settle on one of the other 2 overclocking proggys, Here is a tip.
I mentioned in Mario thread that the LumosII disabling our unit's auto-scaling BETTER and actually giving both PHM and Xcpuscalar a performance boost.
