weather update through wifi
 

hello i have the wm 6.0 upgrade on my sprint apache and i have the weather tab on my home page but i can never get it to update. i have no data plan so i am only trying to update when i am connected to my wifi at home. do you need sprint to update it or can i update it through wifi? is there something wrong with my setup?

Im sure you can use WiFi. I use Pocket Weather v2.0.8 and have it setup where whenever I connect to WiFi it auto updates although I can force it to update also. Go through your settings on the app and see what you can find. What weather app are you using BTW?

It does update through wifi, I do it at work everyday.

wouldnt updating through wifi still get charged... cause i dled stuff from ppcgeeks using my wifi and i still got charged... or is that different?

unlimitted data is only 15$ a mnth, you can do alot with that. if that helps.

If you are getting charged from Sprint, then you are NOT connecting through wifi.

Agreed, WiFi is free, data connection through the carrier is X amount per month or X amount per Kb, depending on what you have.
