ok im such a noob im sending my ppc 6700 to the sprint store Tomorrow and i cant get my dial pad back to the classic blue dial pad & i Cant take SLide 2 Unlock Off My Start Menu everytime i try it says unable to move that item

are you running the the sprint rom?

hard reset will take it to default. (Edit: see post below for instructions)

I agree with the hard reset and as said earlier yes it will delete everything but at the same time if you are using a OEM ROM than just changing the dialer screen and a few 3rd party apps wont void any warranty. I also am interested to know why you are sending it back. If you filed a claim for a new device then why not just keep it for parts or give/sell it someone who needs parts?

Just a note: hard reset on 6700 is record + power + reset....not the same as mogul (camera + power + reset).

thanks for correcting me, but It sounded like he needed to back up first anyhow. been a while since I've hard reset my apache, just flash a new kitchen...

agree. Hard Reset should bring back to stock rom or what ever he has in ROM.

If need backup, then should look for PIM BackUp and save the backup file to storage card or via ActiveSync move the backup file to pc.
