How do you update PRL manually? I got the latest from the link that i found on the site. I put it on my phone, what do i open it with and how do i install it?

cant get pass the unlock code, what is it? I never set one up.

vzw is all 0's. Sprint is your msl, and I think you have to get that from Sprint Support.

If you have verizon, you can get the prl automagically by calling *228 and choosing option 2. I dont know about sprint though.

For Sprint call *2 and ask them to flag your account for a PRL update unless it already recognizes you need an update. Then wait 5 minutes, call *2 again, and follow the prompts to get the PRL updated.

Is it possible to downgrade a PRL using the method above?

I had Sprint CS send me the new RPL 20227, was at 20224 and now the Internet is a dog and I can no longer connect (at least usable ) to my slingbox. Sling and Internet are fine on wifi just not over radio. I did get the MSL from the CS rep.........


Since this is my first post, I just want to thank all those on this board for the fantastic roms, solutions, hacks and hints...... This board made my switch from the t-mo mda worth it!!!

You can go either way with a PRL update - forward or backwards... However, the PRL won't affect your internet speed. Do you still have good signal after the update? If you do, then assuming the PRL is at fault would be barking up the wrong tree.

Thanks, I reinstalled the PRL and all looks like its working.... Fieldtrial was displaying in the -100's before and now it's back in the -50-80 for both 1x and evdo and full bars.....
