Headphone Issues

I am having a problem. When i insert a headphone into the jack, it doesn't work quite right unless i push it to the side and hold it. I've had this happen to many electronic gizmos in the past, but never knew how to fix it. Does anyone out there know how to fix this? And please, try to exclude the word "toothpick" from your response.

Re: Headphone Issues

general answer (don't know your actual phone)--sounds like a solder joint came loose somewhere. usually it's in the jack-to-motherboard connection. assuming the jack is in the phone, taking apart the phone and resoldering the jack pins should fix it.

I will back this up and agree. Taking it apart is what I would advise as well. Its not hard to do and there are lots of tutorials on it
