media player control on today screen?
 

I've seen phm butcant get it to work. I want a today plugin that controls media player and hopefully has track info as well. once again thanx in advance

trianglepowers.com has a plugin that shows the status\track info on the today screen. I know that I have seen a control plugin somewhere as well, but I cannot remember where right now.

SPB has this as a plugin for PocketPlus... it's called SPB ToPlay. Plugin is free, but PocketPlus is not.

Conveniently enough, though... you don't actually need to have Pocket Plus installed. You can just install Spb ToPlay. :D

Ok so i have the SPB To Play (with out the PocketPlus), and yea it works, but how do i play the songs off the SD card? for some reason it only plays from the local library that is already assigned by WMP in the beginning. Like i can't click anywhere on this control bar to select the songs. Any idea?

well mine play off my sd fine but its buggy. for instance. with mp closed I can press play and starts my first song. but if you open mp no progress at all. I think that thi little plugin is a mp of its own cause when you start a song using the today plugin you can open mp and start the same or another song and they will both play at the same time. freakin weird. and yes I have tried both installing to sd or device. no change.

ToPlay isn't a media player, it is just another interface for WMP. So you have to load your music library in WMP first, then you can close it and use the ToPlay player. I hate the way WMP does playlists so I don't use it however.

The best program I think for a music player on the today screen is TodayPlayer. It had a lot of features packed into it, but unfortunetely my bluetooth audio only came out in Mono tone (and yes my BT HS supports A2DP). It is pretty much open source so I believe it wouldn't take someone much time to just recompile the code for a WM5 device in the newer visual studio. Unfortunetely it's still more time than I have since I don't have any mobile programming experience.

or u can get pocket music. that has controls on the today screen. plus it has bass boost and all that good stuff for listening to music.
