there is another way to remove them junkware

do a hard reset and right as soon as the 6700 starts to load do a soft reset and then u can go into cabs and load only the ones you want to.

yea thats probably the better way, but I freed up some memory by just doing this and then what was left over (folders and such), I just manually deleted and my memory is way up there now. ;) Note I didnt remove but the sprint store and audible stuff.

yep i think its about time for me to do another hard reset all these apps im playing with have reaked havoc on my bluetooth and speed

I removed every cab files from the list but only gained about 2mb in storage and mininal gain in programs. Hmmm...might do it again to see if I get a better result.

You don't delete the cab files you need to run them to get the programs to show up in remove programs. I hope this helps

yea I went to the programs older and deleted the audible folder, and the sprint store one with no problems. the .cabs are always in ur extended to reinstall if need be.

No, I didn't delete the cab files. I reinstalled all the cab files and uninstalled them but I didn't gain much space.

do u use memaid, if so go to the chart, and have alook and see what is taking up most ur memory.

Big D5 07-28-2006 11:01 PM

Did you remove the sub folders that go with the programs like audible, and the sprint store? This yields a majority of the extra memory.

wingzero 07-28-2006 11:30 PM

Lol..I totally forgot about the sub folder. Will do it asap. Thanks for reminding me. :thumbleft:
