Palm Lifedrive to PPC-6700 via bluetooth? or bt stereo help?
Does anyone know a way to set up the lifedrive to the ppc-6700? I've been searching all over the net but theres really no help on cdma phones, well very little atleast. I have the motorola v710 with verizon and was able to pair it and set it up and access the web on the lifedrive when I had service for a temperary amount of time... but now I have sprint, and though its already difficult to setup cdma's to the lifedrive, my ppc-6700 bluetooth profiles doesn't even show up on the lifedrive, it regonizes it as a "PDA" under trusted bluetooth devices but when you try to pare it as a phone the phone doesn't show on the search list at all.... I guess its not that important but its just something thats been bugging me for sometime... I donno it just seems like it should work but then again my iogear bluetooth stereo headset doesn't even work on my pac-6700 in stereo headset mode properly, it just skips every few seconds... wich is why i think I want this to work in the firstplace. It would be nice to lisen to internet radio with my bluetooth headset when im on the go... lol again its just something that bugs me, but not a huge issue, and it doesn't' hurt to ask... and im sorry for any spelling mistakes, im sure theres plenty...

I have the same question, does anyone have a suggestion?

I have a couple ideas, but they are not based on experience nor anything with physical proof.
Maybe if you use an Internet Sharing Application and choose Bluetooth Sharing and tap on Bluetooth or click start, the Lifedrive will see the device as an optional internet connection? Kinda like when your device is in bootloader mode, it shows up as a different kind of device then if Activesync connects to it. I may have more ideas, but for now that is something to try. |
Hrm... interesting idea, I too have been wanting to pair my lifedrive with my apache for net access.. Will have to try the bluetooth idea.

Re: Palm Lifedrive to PPC-6700 via bluetooth? or bt stereo help?
I was actually been able to connect my lifedrive to my mogul for like 3 mnths now via bluetooth to access the internet. under manufacture choose other, and under model choose gsm phone even tho its not. Make bt visible on the phone, add the phone to the lifedrive.
after it will ask you if you want to set it up to use internet, choose yes. but when it ask if you subscribe to a high speend data service from you carrier choose no. enter you #777 as ur phone number and put ur sprint username and password. I had to type this up super quick cuz someone else needs the pc but i hope this helps with the apachie and other devices as well... |
