1 line for date on today screen
 

the date on my today screen used to take up only 1 line, now it takes up 2. is there a registry hack that can change this?

Yep, using a registry editor, go into HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today and create a dword called "AutoSingleLineDatePlugin" and set to 1.

you wouldnt by any chance know how to change the lower Calendar link to open up something other than the calendar, would you? :)

there only a folder that says 112.

in that folder is (Default) and Open.

i changed (Default) from Calendar to Messages and that worked fine, but what do I change Open too?

113 can be created exactly like 112 to change the right softkey

On a side note about changing soft keys, Use this program it works GREAT! just drop the .cpl file in the windows folder and then soft reset, Should be in the system settings after that If I remember... But anyways, really cool and simple.
