PPC-6700 Questions
 

I have a PPC-6700, I've only tweaked it a little bit (SPB Mobile shell, some registry tweaks and whatnot).

But when I was browsing around these forums I see that people have whole new interfaces and whatnot (which I want :D)

A couple of questions..

1. Are there any mobile shells that any of you would reccomend? (I only really use text messaging/calling/contacts)
Spb mobile shell laggs the hell out of my ppc

2. Is there any way to speed up my pocket pc? or by removing everything but text messaging/calling/contacts?
That would be awesome

3. Are there any alternate text messaging applications that I can use?
The outlook express style text messaging application is annoying and slow.

4. What is a kitchen? What is an apache kitchen and whatnot? How do I install? Are there any step-by-step guides?
I found the ppc kitchen website but did not get that good an explanation when reading on what it is. Can anyone explain this?

It'd be great if anyone can answer these questions

There are really so many. My advice is to check some of the freeware sites see what you like

There are list of tweaks you can do here to increase the cache and disable certain animations as well as other things to speed up your PPC.

What carrier are you on. I have a really fast and stable ROM you will love. You can also do those hacks and tweaks I listed in the above Q&A as well as overclock (OC) the PPC from 416 to 520 and up to 624Mhz.

Guides? I really cant think of any although Im sure there must be some somewhere. Most of those that use the Kitchen are familiar of what they are geting into but noobs do try (and succeed) as well. It is basically a tool used for custom building a ROM for your 67.

As I said earlier, it is basically a tool used to custom build a ROM for your 67 and can include additional apps. I would assume the modern day kitchen has most of the known hacks and tweaks applied but IDK for sure.
