Any way to get completely rid of it like in BigJ's Mario themed ROM? Running Saridnour's PR4 currently, using cLaunch plugin and looking for a little more room down at the bottom of the screen...

yep, check other posts or look in the registry tweaks section and find the one about removing the battery icon and comm manager, removing the icons that are there will also remove the bottom tray and free up that real estate.

*edit* here is the info, most custom ROMs only have the screen rotation and comm manager, so remove them.

*To Remove Screen Rotation:

HKLM\services\screenrotate === change from 1 to 0 (zero)

To Remove the Wireless connection manager:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr and change the DWORD Keep to 0,
