Can not send picture onless I use the data service

I read in another post that Verizon has this cab preinstalled but I have the same problem and I want tu use this hack but I don't know which server information I need to use. I almost read the whole Internet and I still not found somebody that sucessfully send a picture or receive one without the phone trying to connect to the crapy #777. Any one knows if I can use this same procedures with Verizon one? And which is the server information?

Thank you

its preinstalled on the verzion one so this won't do anything that ur phone doesn't already have. but the 2nd .cab in the 2nd part of the first post is the .cab extracted from the verzion 6700.

I'm going to give a try to the picture hck with the Verizon

Well, I saw this post
http://ppcgeeks.com/mms-doesnt-work-...e+verizon.html
and its shows the Verizon info for that picture hack so I'm going to try it. My problems are still the same I want to send picture with my unlimited 9.99 plan like I did with my old phone and the connecting data pop up comes. Its not make any sense that if I upgrade my technology for using phone now I can not do stuff that I could do with the old one. I called Verizon and they told me that the phone do not have capability to send the pictures or FLIX vis normal message (SORRY). I edit the #777 dial number with another number for now to stop connection. So the plan is I/m going to follow the instructions on the sprint hack and use the Verizon server info. I forgot to mention that I download an upgrade from the Verizon web site. (APAC_VZW_20720_200_11000_Ship) it gave me some additional stuff like the voice speed dial.

yea but that .cab is already installed and it has to send via the data connection so theres no way around it to my knowledge. This is just like opening the inbox and going to the MMS folder thats already on ur ppc. The server settings for verizon are already there in the self edit .cab because it was extracted from a XV-6700. ;)

SO, in other words please tell me, there is no way arround this. Right? And why these people did this? O well I guess they are loosing money when people can communicate back and forward with text, pics and videos for 10 bucks and unlimitted and its looks that they are going to change this in the near future for all the phones. Any ideas what I can do to send pictures withous a wireless conection? Did the only way to send a picture it is via a wireless connection or using the crappy data? I'm not going to pay 40 bucks for unlimited internet in the cellular and other 40 for high speen at home. It is a shame if I don't find a way I think I'm going to come back to my flip phone. It is a waste having that pritty high tech 6700 with everything I dream and not a simple capability to send pictures to others for the super deal of $9.99. Thanks for the fast reply.

no way around using data services...most did this because they have a data package or surely it doesn't take much to send a pic and receiving is a text so u only pay for data going out and accessing them. You could try setting up a dial up connection for 56k using a free dialup service...maybe that would work. I think I read something about that but I have never tried it myself.

If there is a way to change the default #777 data network to my home wireless? I check but is asking for a dial number and I don't know how to dial to my wireless network.

Wideawake 11-08-2006 11:01 AM

it wont dial to ur wifi but hold down the internet explorer key on the side until the comm manager pops up, tap the little tower looking icon with (()) on the side and wifi will cut on and auto detect the network then just select connect. ;)

I can connect with wireless my problem is the following: Lets say that I want to send a picture I take the picture and I click send via MMS. I edit my data connection to #577# and a username in case the cell want to access the expensive network and I got in my connections settings My ISP instead of the Verizon Wireless I send the pics but they are stock in the outlook box at this time I'm wireless. So I did a test sending a picture to gmail account and checking my account using the phone but nothing. I will like to set a way in the scroll bar to choose wireless for programs that wants to connect but I just have Cellular line, IRD COM 1 ans My ISP and My WORK network. Any ideas?
