First off, great ROM!!!!!! It is the only 3.5 to be stable on my device.

The only thing I need to adjust is to get the vibrate option back. Can you post the regedit to do that? Thanks and great work!!!!!

it would seem to me if we had a plain old rom no extras then we wuld not have the problems with voice command or batti-cfg, i also seems to me if we just install them from the orginal cab files after a fresh install it would take care of these problems we are having.

There is one, it is a no frills 3.5 install http://www.ppcgeeks.com/stock-aku-3-...che-t3257.html

I had this on and it works pretty well but why not take advantage of some customization that we all need to run stable anyways?

The LED fix is posted on page 1........ and again HERE so you dont have to click back and actually read the thread.....

and to repeat, the LED cuts the battery life by nearly 30% as stated in the MSDN pocketpc breakdown on battery life.....

Quote:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\BUILTIN\ALLLEDMGR]
"Index"=dword:0
change the dword value to 1 to re-enable the LED

I think I have all the MMS configuration options fixed, i also noticed that the pegcard.dll module I used was the wrong one for the card backs. I also nudged down the pic on the dialpad about 4 pixels so it wasnt in the way of the phone timer when on a call with someone you have a picture ID with... revision 9.1 should be out shortly to resolve those... im just fine-tuning thngs right now, cleaning out useless help files and errant shortcuts that take up space. Im also working on streamlining my kitchen so I can roll changes out quicker (like making a single initflashfiles so CREATEOS doesnt choke after 20 or so and stop making shortcuts).

First off I want to say, this rom is amazing J. Thank you.

I am hoping you can help me out a bit. I have a Verizon branded XV6700 and I would like to know what can be done to customize this rom for Verizon. The biggest thing is the SMS, I am unable to send or receive SMS messages which I am guessing relates to the Sprint customizations you performed. I haven't messed with the extended rom so the VZW default stuff still gets installed after flashing but this does not solve the SMS issue. If you can point me in the right direction on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Once again, Thanks for the amazing update. You have made me love this phone once again.

This ROM looks niiiiiiiiiice.

Been waiting to pull the trigger and leave AKU2

As soon as 9.1 is out, I'm flashing.

I can hear the Mario music already....

JBabey 03-03-2007 05:25 PM

I will build you a revision 9.1 without any sprint customizations, I will use a generic MMS OEM as well so you will have to manually put in the verizon settings for picturemail.

Please let me know if everything works, and I will release all of my ROM updates as two packages... one for Sprint, and one built w/out the Sprint Stuffs for you Verizon peeps.

Gimme about 30 mins to build it and flash it on one of our returns to make sure everything else works.

oysterhead 03-03-2007 05:28 PM

Cool!

I'm on Sprint, so the customizations (with no junk) are fine with me.

Whatever plagued saridnour's rom is also apparently causing the bt headset issues with this rom, if you download the fix on his thread, you will be able to trigger MSVC with your BT headset.

I read the whole thread (an hour later) and did not see where he isolated the fix. I will grab that cab file and dig through the registry to see what changes I can make to get this to work with the BT properly. If anyone has figured out exactly the changes made though, it would save me quite a bit of time.

EDIT:::::: all of his changes are already incorporated, i just picked up a BT so ill do some testing rt now and post back.

and no, gmail does not offer contact backup etc. I was unawares that there were free services that did that... very cool!
