Is there any thing you can do to minimize the battery drain ?
I am also experiencing delayed responses to the today screen.
Other than that- This ROM ROCKS!

Im tempted to try the new rev wiht the MS VC fix.

There should be a readme file included on the rar package that has instructions on exactly how to install it. I'm pretty sure the instructions are a M$ Word document.

ive ran different roms from this site before, and this one doesnt say which exe file to run to get it all started

there is both

romupgradeut.exe

and

maupgradeut_noid.exe


***edit, i opened romupgradeut.exe and it seems to be running the setup now, was just wonderin what if any diff between it and the noID one

I am a little confused.... I installed the 2 verizon mms .cab files from the extended rom and I can successfully send text messages even though they are linking themselves though the palm sms software, but they work. I can also send picture messages through my normal mms software that verizon uses. But the wierd thing is when I try to create a new flix message and I click the portion of the message where I can insert a movie it opens a selection portion of the phone and allows me to select the videos files I have created. When I navigate to the folder that has videos recorded using the "mms video" option under my recording options of my camera, it shows no videos... like the format of the video file isn't compatible with the message... can anyone else confirm this? If I select to send the video right after I create the video it tells me the video is invalid to send.

I've used 2 different versions of this rom and haven't noticed any excessive battery drain. Actually, this rom seems to extend battery life a few hours for me over the previous rom I was using. You should look up abcPowerMeter and install that. It shoul help you track down what is using up your battery.

im so freakin pissed off at the MMS packages on the FTP im building my own right now from Wideawakes, its not the newest version but seems to be the most stable with the least amount of WIERD QUIRKY SH*T. Its also like 5 freakin megs smaller than the other OEM packages....

im going to test this one over the next day or two before i put out another revision thinking its working

----- I also received the Verizon MMS OEM package, I will incorporate that by the end of the day and repost the verizon revision... please please please, test the MMS once I get the new package up cuz the one im using now is...... uh.... not what I expected it to be from the readme on the FTP....

Battery life????? thats just plain weird... i run the BT all day long and make asstons of phonecalls and it still has about 30% at the end of the day. I have purposefully gone out of my way to make changes to this rom that do NOT drain the battery (like the LED's and the battery polling frequency) All i can think of is to turn down your LCD brightness (i keep mine at 30%) that is the single biggest drain your phone has. Aside from that... try running the "ReclaimRAM" shortcut about halfway through the day to clean up the program storage space.

sorry for the MMS crap though, it was working for me and i got all excited... i will now build my own OEM, and try it with my co-workers over the next day or so before I update.

Big.J you are the man... thank you for being so prompt about looking into the mms situation for us. Would it be possible to have you release a "verizon" version that doesn't have the palm sms software but the archsoft mms package that version uses? Other than the MMS stuff this rom is without a doubt the best... keep up the good work

this rom is great, one of the best ive used, the only thing that would make it better, was if it included windows live, so i can see how many new emails i have, on the today screen. anybody know where i can find that app?

If threaded SMS is not compatible with Verizon i will remove it when i rebuild with the Verizon MMS in the next hour or so (so reply quick haha)

The sprint MMS package is a pain the freaking @$$.... 267 lines of registry to figure out what the problems were.... bad \windows pointers (needed \\) some of the stupid DWORD entries had commas instead of colons.... *^$(^$*&%$#&($

anyways... building now, hopefully fixed, i got 4 co-workers all flashing to test... ill post back
