Bricked 6700!

Hey guys...I've had my 6700 since the day it was released on Verizon...no updates, no nothing. I used the phone for 6 months, then cracked the screen and went back to my old flip phone. So today I got a new screen for it, installed it...and decided to upgrade to the firmware. I found this site, downloaded the BuildOS software, built a new ROM and tried to upload it...and kabloom. The software (and phone) said that everything had been updated successfully).

I'll the first to admit that I didnt research and read as much as I should have...but here I am, stuck on a white screen with the Verizon logo on it. Below the logo is this:

H/W=2
M=12
U=4
P SNAZ-40306
R 1.05.00
D 3.61.00 WWE

Any help? I tried to build a ROM with 6.1, and have also tried the 'exitbootloader' software. I have tried to reflash, but the BuildOS is unable to see the connection to my device (even though its plugged in).

You loaded too much crap on it. Build another ROM with less stuff.

This post is correct. You just loaded to many things into your ROM. Remove some stuff and try again.

Re: Bricked 6700!

Just do the following:
1. Press both soft-keys, and reset; as soon as the device comes back on, after turning the screen off during the reset:
2. Immediately, press the Power and Record buttons, and without letting go, reset again.
3. Go into BuildOS, and un-select everything, and start of with my below suggestions:
No games; no personal OEM's; and no Flash/Browsers. Then, after you have succesfully flashed, and the device is booted;
4. Add one back, at a time. Or, even two should be fine. Just try to keep one thing in mind:
Your device has a set amount of space, that it can hold informaiton, and it isn't as much as you might think. Now, that being said, you can put a whole lot in your ROM.
PM me, if you would like some personal assistance, and I will try and get some information from you, like an AIM/MSN/Yahoo; and we can build your ROM, together.
Take Care,
Andrew,
