CPU usage... whats going on?
 

So... for the last week or so my phone just slows down at random... nothing special running in the back ground(WM5 sprint stock rom sprint JUNK removed) generaly i just soft reset and it goes away. Today I started SKtool's and watched my CPU usage during one of these slow downs... Filesys.exe and Shell32.exe are using at times %100 of my CPU! they seem to alternate back and forth in the amount of CPU they each take... it may be Shell32 using %65 and filesys using %35 or vise-versa. I also noticed my Free program RAM drops about 10-15 meg during this period. Any Ideas what may have changed to cause these two programs to suck up all my CPU resource for no reason?

Perhaps the CPU throttles its speed. Hence, it may go to 100% at a slow speed, but then throttle its speed up. Possibility?

what other apps do you have installed that may be scanning/searching/indexing and/or updating in the background?

Weed NOTHING running in the back ground ...unlees you count SPB pocket plus... I didn't have this problem until a few days AFTER i installed the newest stock sprint rom minus the JUNK.

I think my problems will go away now... some Unknown guy:evil4: slipped my a ROM via PM... you probably have seen this rom before Weed... So far I'm liking the new ROM... Clean and simple:mrgreen:

I just might have a clue on what you are hinting about......its good and I have had nothing better.
