I'm very new to this. I have a VX6700 Verison phone. This is actual my work phone. So my worries are if something goes and my phone goes inop, I will have to spend another $400. I have vendor that has the same phone and used this website to load 6.1 and loves it. I have spent the past two day read other threads. Will the Rom effect my ability to use the wireless sync function with outlook?

Second i also use Gotomypc.com to log into my work computer now with wm5. Will I still be able to load that on wm6.1?

Third How do I reload the oem Rom if needed to send in for repairs?

Last How likely is it to mess up a phone to the point were it is unfixable?

I would appreciate all the re-assurance possible!!!

No.
If it is a website you should be fine.
There is a thread that has all the oem ROMs.
Very unlikely. I have tried to brick my phone, to no avail.

Do you have to use active sync to install wm6.1?

Is there a way to use active sync without the cradle, just using the USB?

Install activesync and all the updates. You can use the USB cable by itself, I have never used the cradle.
