Preventing the extended rom from installing?
 
Is there any way to turn off installing the extended rom? I thought i saw something the other day, but it seems do have disappeard. Thanks

( I think its there anyway.)

You could copy all of the files over to your pc hard drive should you need them, then delete them from your ext rom.. And they wouldnt install.

To keep them from getting installed by custom rom packages you can delete the ms_.nbf from the folder and it wont install that custom rom.. you can also move any files you may want to install later back, or just install them from your card.

The easiest way to do it is after a hard reset, soft reset your phone right when you get the screen that says its about to run the customization software. Voila. You may not want to do this as carrier specific CABs get installed from the extended rom unless you're planning on building them into your own ROM.
