Signature for Outlook Email

Where does the signature file for Outlook email live? I see with the new kitchen we have a default signature available but I would like to customize mine. I have looked long and hard and cannot seem to find it.

Thanks,
Steve

Looks like it takes the signature from your PC Outlook account if you so desire:

Sorry I should have been more spcific. Where does the default lie in the reg so I can build my customizations into the ROM build rather than having to do each time I build a ROM.

Didnt we have this same threaded conversation some time back or is this someone else asknig the same Q? I dont believe it was answered last time and likely partly because very few people add sigs and those that do no flash every week or so. So it was more effiecient for most to simply add it in whenever they wanted.

Im sorry this doesnt answer your Q but maybe clarifies on my the last post was never answered on the same subject.

On a side note I added asig in my phone with a work I know is not anywhere on my device. I then used Resco Registry to search for that specific work in all Keys/Values/Data and it found nothing.

[EDIT] DOH!! I found the other thread, might as well merge them since they are the same subject.

It was pretty much ruled out that it is NOT in the registry anywhere:

My guess is that is somewhere in the program config/data files. Since that is part of the ROM, it is lost when you flash. Unless you can find it somewhere else....

I don't have my laptop so I can't confirm this by viewing the contents, but I beleive the file name is \mxip_notify.vol. When you update your signature, the date on this file will change to the date/time you edited your signature.

And you can copy it since it is in use....hmmm!

Yeah, I noticed you can't copy it either. I tried to view it with a hex editor, and a couple other things. I figure I would have better luck trying to find it within a deconstructed rom when I get to my laptop.

Let me know if you have any luck when you get to your laptop. This one has me really frustrated. It shouldnt be this hard to change a freaking signature file!
