Problems with new "Kitchen" for apache wm6.1 BT Contacts wont transfer

I just flashed my phone tonight. Lots of things to tweak but holly crap is this NICE !!

Amazing, Fantastic job guys. this WM6.1 thing rocks!

One issue so far I am hoping this is user error and easily fixed. I am trying to bleep my contacts from my old phone to my ppc 6700.

This works just fine on the stock rom. I goto ppc grr on my sanyo click send item contacts all yes ppc grr is ready and it goes and does it.

Now I get Connection Failed Device not available.

Sometimes it gets this when it tries to send sometimes it gets this when it tries to "refresh services"

Either way it fails 100% of the time. previously I had to do nothing but pair them and bleep the contacts over.

Is there some special trick to doing this in this new rom? This is something really important to me :-) IE I use it quite a lot to send and recieve contacts easily.

I am thinking of seeing it I can bleep them to my zodiac and them beam them to the ppc :-) so I can at least get my core contacts in place. No idea if thats gonna work or now :-)

An update. I tried squirting the contacts to my zodiac (PALM) and it worked fine. but the zodiac also can not send to the PPC tries for a time and then says disconnected.

I also can not IR I guess you can not IR between palm and ppc as soon as I cross beams I get beam disconnected.

I CAN browse the PPC from the sanyo. (added the bt ftp option) but I can not send contacts any more.

Suggestions?

Use PIM backup to backup your contacts, put the file it makes o a storage card or your computer, then use PIM backup to open it on the other phone

Alas this only works if you ALREADY have the contacts on the device. I actually did end up going this route kind of. I flash back to stock rom. Squirted the contacts over backed up with pimbackup and then flash to 6.1 and restored with pim backup.

I also got the spb backup and it works fine but does NOT backup/restore everything.

For example my mail settings are not showing in message yet when I try to "create" the account using the same name it says already exists. Odd.

is there a COMPLETE backup utility available for these things IE a perfect complete backup of every byte on the device ? On the palm this was very easy proving quite a bit more difficult on these PPC devices :-)

I tell you know I am in love with beyond pod :-) fantastic little program :-)

If you want byte per byte backup...like a perfect "Clone"...then you need a program like Spb Clone which will make a image...but that cost...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I used Clone and love it BTW.
