Help with XV6700 activation...

I have changed my ESN on my ampd mobile acct to my xv6700. Now when I went to program over the air (*22890 for ampd) it fails and says 'Initial Programming Needed'. I have loaded the ampd PRL to my 6700 and changed some of the settings but OTA programming fails. Since I switched my ESN, my ampd E816 no longer works, so I am without a PHONE! Any help is appreciated...

Does amp'd support this configuration? If not then the settings in the NVM are probably incompatible between the two. The PRL itself is only one tiny fraction (PRL = Preferred Roaming List). The phone still stores the SIDs of its home network.

If amp'd and Verizon don't support running the XV6700 on the amp'd network then I'm not sure there's much we can do. If they do, you should definitely call their tech support to find out what you need to do to make it work.

Hi, can you help, please?

I'm from Brazil and I own a UT starcom PPC6700 from Vivo network. The trouble is that I can't a copy back new $SYS.ESN because NVM is locked. Any idea in how to unlock it?

All the best
