i am running aku 3.3 and whenever i added anything into outlook and did the sync it was an hour off on the ppc.. it wasn't untill i ran the windows tools to change the daylight savings on my xp machine and then ran the outlook file to do some conversions for certain events during that time was when my ppc was finally able to sync everything with the correct time..
but i think i see what you saying.. come mar 11/07 it will auto change the time thus changing the times that are in-correct on the ppc right now. |
Yes the issue with appointment times jumping an hour during the extra weeks of DST is a problem with Outlook on the PC (and/or your exchange server). Once you correct that problem there, the PPC (assuming AKU 3) does not need anything done to it.

If you want to fix old appointments that are an hour off because they were created pre-patch you can use Microsoft Office Outlook Tool: Time Zone Data Update Tool
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en and if you want to do it to your whole exchange server and all your mailboxes you need this also (I just finished doing it to ours, scary... but worked out pretty nicely I think). Make sure you have the windows time patch and the exchange time patch before you do this. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en KB Article for this: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=930879 |
Thanks for posting those links. I had to run that stuff on our server last week--not what I would call user friendly (the exchange tool, anyway. The outlook tool was a cinch).
Damn Congress for making life hell for us IT admins. It's like Y2K all over again (just without the emergency generator and survival gear this time :)) |
