Htc touch keyboard on apache!
 

i went to the verizon store the other day and was looking that the Xv6900 otherwise known as the htc touch. i was looking at getting the phone but decided to keep my apache. i wanted to know if anyone has gotten the HTC touch onscreen keyboard to work on the apache??? i like the layout of the HTC touch keyboard better the the onscreen keyboard for the apache........

btw the im only asking this because i drive alot. i hate having to slide the phone open to text and i always hit the wrong keys with the onscreen one......

This isn't constructive, but:
1)Yes it is available
2) Why would you want a software KB when you have a hardware one?
3) Your answer to question 2 is terrifying. Please tell me you don't txt and drive at the same time...

LOL......I use my knee to drive and use both my hands to type texts.

I dont know if it helps, but i use the PocketCM Keyboard on my 6700, wurks great when 1-handing a text message!

I used to TXT and drive, until I got my apache.... Samsung's A900 has voice to txt software, that would be cool on a PPC.... Maybe.

Same here when i had my blackberry, it was easier to text and drive, but its harder with the Apache. The pocket cm keyboard, may be an idea thanks, im going to try it.

They do have a software like this, actually it is a service, you call it and give the number to send to and say what you want to text and off it goes. Ive never tried it but it is out there.

Service through Sprint like Voice Command? VC is cool, but I never use it. Go figure that I'm too lazy to hit *+TALK and just say who I want to call. ](*,)

I used to always text and drive when I had my A900. I could do it without looking. That changed when I got my mogul and touch tho. I use Resco Keyboard Pro and it's not as easy but it's not that hard either

Thats a damn nice phone BTW. It seems they only will get better and better. Just imagine what they will be like in 10 years from now.

My Dream phone is a slimmer version of a "Global" from the TV series Earth Final Conflict :-) now that would ROCK :-) Flexible displays are not TOO far off :-)
