Is there a dialer hack that SAYS the number you press?
For one-handed dialing, even with the E-ten big-button hack I will often kludge around and press the wrong button while driving and dialing.
A good fix/solution for this problem would be a hack that would let would play/speak 1.wav when you press "1" (during the first dial out only), 2.wav when you press "2" etc. This way you could HEAR what you are pressing. couple it with the vibration hack and you could hear and feel it. :) Anyone know if this exists? |
You should be able to make it by modifying the vibration hack. I don't know if you could have both or not though?

Look under hku\controlpanel\sounds.
You'll see Dtmf"#" representing each button. I believe you might could modify the dword "sound" for each number to a string value pointing to the .wav for each number. |

Here's a lil help if needed.
|
It appears to work.. but you have to hold the button down to hear the full words. : )
|
Where do you put the file to get it to work?
|
i put it under windows directory.
i also wrote \windows\0.wav in the string value. probably not needed though.. maybe just 0.wav will work. i used audacity to try to reduce the length and increase the speed.. didn't help much. |
you can also increase the voume with audacity if needed

I'm confused I can't get it to work. Not sure why?
