xv6700 Stuck at Tap Screen
 

I got an issue with my xv6700.

Flashed the phone to VZW Stock ROM and now its stuck on Tap Screen to setup your device.

I replaced the LCD and Touch screen thinking that was the issue but that did not seem to fix it.

What else could it be? Am I looking at a bad Board?

Do I need to try and wipe out the screen alignment registry settings?

You mean a lock pin? No.

And I just flashed to WM6.1 cutom rom and it still staying on Tap Screen to setup your device.

Bootloader is v2.02 if that helps.

Nope. Nothing inserted at all.

With the custom rom, I have S2U2 loaded.

The dpad works to unlock the device but it comes back to the Tap Screen to setup device.

Its like the touch is bad still but its a brand new screen with digitizer from the same place I bought the last 2 that worked just fine.

So you can't align screen? Try this link to see if it helps get you unstuck and then try to align screen from a couple of posts down.

Anyone got a screen they now is good that would want to sell it? (need screen with digitizer)

I assume you mean you are stuck in the screen calibration. There are several threads on this and ppl getting stuck. What ROM were you using and why did you flash to an OEM ROM? Try flashing back to the aftermarket ROM and see what you get. Have you tried doing that or even re-flashing the OEM ROM again? I assume you have hard reset a few times right?

How did you install S2U2? Is it loaded with a ROM or is it a download? If it is loaded with a ROM, do you also have TouchFlo installed?
